This is a porcelain slip cast vase with a metallic gunmetal glaze and flashes of deep midnight blue peeking through.
This piece was created by pouring liquid clay (slip) into a plaster mold. I made the mold by 3D printing the neck of the vase and using an antique glass globe for the body of the vase. After combining the two objects I slowly made a mold out of plaster part by part. This is a very limited run. Only a total of 10 vases were made and the mold is no longer in use.
